How is synthetic grass installed?

Our experts start by removing any existing soil to 100mm in the area of installation. Any existing sprinkles may be removed if you no longer needed . Next, we install timber edging around the outside edge of the area. We then place a geotextile cloth to keep a separation between artificial turf base and what's underneath.

Now starting with the installation process, we lay the sub-base material, of gap/20 compacted to build a solid base suitable for foot traffic then a layer of gap/7 or 5 to contour a layer of weed mat to give the base extra protection from weeds.

Our experts carefully measure synthetic grass we then place the turf on the base cut in around any shapes and seam the joins using joining tape and glue. We staple the turf down every 50mm to secure it properly. Lastly, we brush through the turf to make the pile standup put silica sand on top of grass to keep the pile up, and help with drainage.

How much does it cost to install fake grass?

Fake grass installation is priced per square meter. The cost also depends on the prep work required and the quality of the turf used.

Can I install my own artificial grass?

Yes, it is possible to install your own artificial grass. We suggest you do research and plan job we are happy to help with advice.

Can you put artificial grass on soil?

No, artificial grass cannot be placed on top of soil or existing lawn. The top layer of the grounds needs to be prepared in order to install artificial grass.
